Steve C. Collins

VP of Operations.  Mr. Collins, age 45, joined Platt, Sparks and Associates after graduating from the University of Texas with a degree in Petroleum Engineering.  From 1989 – 1996, he gained diverse and valuable experience in the Gulf Coast, both inshore and offshore, the Permian Basin and in the Mid-Continent as an Operations Engineer overseeing workovers, recompletions, drilling and production operations for Terra Resources Inc. and its successor companies which included Pacific Enterprises Oil Company, and Hunt Oil Company.  In 1996, he joined Mr. Lodzinski’s team as Manager, Drilling and Production where he was responsible for all field operations for Texoil Inc., Cliffwood Production Company and AROC (Texas), Inc.  His professional experience includes completion design, artificial lift technology, stimulation design, remedial workovers and all phases of drilling.  With the formation of Southern Bay Energy, LLC in December of 2004, he took over as VP of Operations.  He is currently responsible for the operations in Texas, Louisiana, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Alabama and Mississippi
