Christopher E. Cottrell

Vice President Land & Marketing, age 49, joined Mr. Lodzinski’s Texoil/Cliffwood management team in October of 1998 as Land Manager.  He served in this capacity until the company was sold in February of 2001 to Ocean Energy, Inc.  From May of 2001 through December of 2002, Mr. Cottrell served as Land Manager of AROC, Inc.  In January of 2003, Mr. Cottrell was promoted to Vice President Land & Marketing.  When Southern Bay Energy, LLC was formed in 2004, Mr. Cottrell continued his responsibilities as Vice President Land & Marketing with the new entity.  Since beginning his land career in October of 1983, Mr. Cottrell has been employed in every facet of petroleum land management.  From October of 1983 through March of 1990, Mr. Cottrell worked for Texas Gas Exploration, Inc., Marline Oil Corporation, Williams Exploration, Inc., Ashland Exploration, Inc. and American Exploration Company.  From March of 1990 until April of 1997, Mr. Cottrell served as Division Order Supervisor and later as Landman for Citation Oil & Gas Corp.  From April 1997 until Mr. Cottrell joined the Texoil/Cliffwood management team, he worked as a Landman for Belco Energy, L.P.  Mr. Cottrell holds a BBA in Petroleum Land Management from the University of Texas in Austin.
