Timothy D. Merrifield

Executive Vice President - Geology & Geophysics, age 55, has been in the oil and gas industry since 1979.   Mr. Merrifield has worked in most of the petroleum provinces in the lower 48 States, offshore Gulf of Mexico, the Maranon Basin in Peru, and the North Irish Sea, U.K.   Previously, Mr. Merrifield was employed by AROC, Inc. and its predecessors since November, 1998. In May, 2001 Mr. Lodzinski took over AROC, Inc. as President and CEO where Mr. Merrifield served as VP of Exploration.  Prior to AROC, Inc., Mr. Merrifield was employed by Forcenergy, Inc. from January, 1997 to November, 1998 as a Senior Explorationist and Great Western Resources, Inc. from January 1986 to January 1997 where he was promoted to Exploration Manager in February, 1994.  Prior to 1986, Mr. Merrifield was employed by L & B Oil Co., Inc, Core Laboratories, Inc., Mesa Petroleum, Inc. and Atlantic Richfield, Inc.   He attended Texas Tech University.
